Bath Time Fun

So Alana has had a fever since Thursday afternoon and finally broke last night. Yesterday's bath was great for multiple reasons...she needed it, she was extremely whiny (who could blame the kid?), she needed a different distraction and was a great aide to cool her down. It was also the last time she was going to be in the infant bath tub. Not only was she growing out of it but the tub is getting returned to Dylan. She took an hour long bath and had such a great time playing. It will be great to see what she will do with her swim lessons she starts on Monday.

HELPPPPP!!! I love this one! She has such a smirk on her face!

Introducing Dylan Lee

On Wednesday, April 20, my sister, Jenny, went into the hospital to be induced. It was a long day and after about 11 hours of labor, Daryl & Jenny were blessed with their first son & third child. Dylan Lee was born at 11:12 pm, weighing in at 7lb 4 oz and 20 inches long. He is absolutely handsome and perfect! I have a few shots of Dylan the night that he was born but since I was in charge of taking pictures, they are mostly on Jenny's camera but I did capture a few. The rest are of the next evening when all of Dylan's cousins were there to meet him. Alana & Dylan will surely get into trouble in the years to come!

Alana thought it was the best thing to be in Dylan's bassinet.
She could see all the action. The nurse came and was startled to see a baby
other than a newborn in it. She filled it out top to bottom.

Alana is 6 months old!

Alana turned 6 months old on Tuesday, April 8th! She is getting so big and strong. She began sitting up by herself on April 3rd and really is enjoying it. She usually will go for an hour or so playing in the pack n play. We have learned this is going to be the best way to keep her lick-free from our furry friends. Alana has decided that she will not be rolling over anytime so for us. Shawn still claims that she rolled over twice when I was at the gym but since her Mommy didn't see it, it didn't happen. At Alana's 6 month check up her doctor called her lazy since she has all the muscle strength to roll but simply chooses not to. I believe that she has her parent's attitude that she will do things when she wants and not when others want her to. Also at that doctor appointment, she weighed in at 14.4 lbs (20%) and was 25" inches long (25%). She is babbling away and just last night noticed that she is cutting her first tooth. She is not a fan of eating solids quite yet but slowly is working on cereal, a few veggies and fruits.

Let's take this outside, Mom!
I've got this sitting thing down...

Whoa! Maybe not quite yet, give me a few more tries!

The Bumbo is a safer spot for now.

Brewer's Opening Day

Shawn went to the Brewer's Opening Day on Monday, April 5 with his some friends but seems to have left his daughter behind. As you can see, she was jumping to go...

Easter 2010

The night before Easter Shawn's family came to our house for dinner. Unfortunately, we did not bring the camera out, so there will be no pictures. His parents brought up the ingredients to make a delicious lemons chicken with avacado and tomato salsa topping along with some red potatoes croquettes. Theyy were delicious. Yummy. Yet two more recipes we can add to our book. The next day Melissa & Alana went to Church where Alana was perfect until the closing prayer. She let the Church know she was ready for a nap. After a really good nap, we ventured down to my parents' house to celebrate Easter with the rest of my family. With the threat of rain on its way, the kids searched high and low for all of the treasures left behind in the yard from the Easter Bunny. They really made out. Alana joined in the fun and was wheeled around in her stroller. Her cousin, Madison, made certain that Alana had her fair share of Easter eggs since she couldn't find them herself quite yet.
