and we're back...
So life on the blogger has escaped the Bansemar Family. I know you've all been wondering if we've moved on, but we're still here. This past few months have been very busy. We've gone to the state fair; taken a trip or two to the Door County cottage and the Amberg cabin; we tried to camp with a sick 9 month old where Alana went on her first fast boat ride; we've been working on Melissa's scrapbook room in the basement - it might just get finished this year. We've just been enjoying life.

Anderson Family Reunion 2010
On July 22 through July 25, my Mom's side of the family gathered in Arkdale, WI for our first family reunion in over ten years. With a few exceptions, most of the family was in attendance, totalling around 30 adults and 8 kids. We had matching t-shirts to wear in the evenings (don't worry, we had laundry facilities), with each family distinguished by a different color t-shirt. Can't wait until we do it again next year!
Shawn had to join Paul in the kiddy pool to watch James. Apparently he didn't have his suit on.

Trim Time
Alana's babysitter, Jen, is also a hair designer. Well, Shawn believed that she was starting to get a little shaggy so I asked Jen to give her a little trim. Alana sat on my lap and was happily distracted. Just a little trim around the ears and a little off the back. Well done Jen! Thank you for keeping our daughter beautiful!

It's Festa Time
Another summer, means another trip to Festa Italiana. My neices dance with the Children's Italian Dance Group. No. We do not have an ounce of Italian blood in us but why not? They have a great time and dedicate a lot of energy learning the dances. This year proved to be no different than any other. We were joined by our friends, Matt, Sarah & Genevieve Maio. Thanks guys!

Alana is 9 months old!
Alana turned a whopping 9 months old on July 9, 2010. She continues to amaze us. She is getting an additional 2 teeth, bringing it up to 6. Poor thing always breaks a high fever whenever she gets a new tooth. She weighs in at 16 pounds and 2 ounces and is 26" long. She began crawling the day after she turned 9 months. Not good. We're not ready for that mobile of a child! She thinks she is the funniest thing ever and is always smiling away! Showing us her best feature...
